Implications of Self Stigma on Dignity of PLHIV in Jamaica (Study)

This study focused on understanding the impact of self-stigma on individuals living with HIV in Jamaica and identifying strategies to address this issue. Data was collected from 267 participants through an online survey and several focus group sessions. The study highlighted that self-stigma had a negative impact on various aspects of respondents’ lives, particularly their self-confidence. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the issue of self-stigma among people living with HIV in Jamaica and suggests potential interventions to address this issue effectively.
