Nadine Lawrence

Nadine Lawrence has been a long-time volunteer with the Jamaican Network of Seropositives (JN+) as well as other NGOs. She has represented JN+ on both the international and local levels. In 2008 she became a full-time employee at JN+ and currently holds the position of Senior Redress Field Officer, for the Jamaica Anti Discrimination System for HIV in Jamaica (JADS).  In her role as Senior Redress Officer, she is often viewed as the face of JN+ and this she takes very seriously and is always aiming for a high standard of service delivery for the members. Nadine is very passionate about her work; she is keen, thorough, and purposeful.

Over the years, her capacity has been built through participation in numerous training such as Phlebotomy, Providers Initial Testing, and Counseling (PITC), certification in Paralegal Studies, to provide preliminary guidance to persons seeking legal Redress, Counseling, and ARV treatment. She has second-hand experience in issues related to Persons Living with HIV (PLHIV).  An enabling environment for PLHIV and advocating for their human rights is always at the fore of Ms. Lawrence’s mind as she continues to make her contribution to international and human development.  Her dream is to help build JN+ to be the comprehensive support network it is envisioned to become.
